Barbell Standing Leg Calf Raise

Preparation

Place the barbell on a power rack at upper chest height and position a calf block underneath it. Rest the back of your shoulders under the barbell, keeping both hands at your sides. Stand on the calf block with your toes and the balls of your feet, allowing your arches and heels to hang off. Lean the barbell against the rack and lift it from the supports by straightening your knees and hips. Keep the barbell steady against the rack's verticals with both hands at your sides.

Execution

Elevate your heels by fully extending your ankles to the highest point possible. Then, lower your heels by flexing your ankles until you feel a stretch in your calves. Repeat this process.
